Everything has been prepared and I am now waiting to hit the road. I have one errand left this afternoon, which I will do as soon as I’m done with this entry. Then it will be a matter of hitching up the trailer and buttoning it up so that it’s ready for travel. In the morning I will pack the back of my truck, as I don’t want to leave things in it overnight. Then, Ollie and I will be off. Our target for tomorrow is in Sparta, TN, where we will stay at a winery from the Harvest Hosts organization. An overnight stay there and we’ll be off to our first real stay point, Asheville, NC.

We had originally planned to stay at a different location tomorrow, but I heard from them today that they had been hit by a severe storm last week that did a lot of damage to their property. So I decided to stay out of their hair and find a different spot. My first example of the need to stay flexible on this trip.
